Owner George Muse strongly believes a firearms business should be just like a car dealership when it comes to providing service after sale. As an avid shooter, Muse said he learned from experience that dependable service after sale can be hard to find. So he turned a lifelong hobby into a business--Legacy Firearms. It was with that idea in mind that Muse opened a gun shop on his ranch in Gatewood. He was delighted by the response as the number of customers grew.

On December 28, 2015, Legacy Firearms officially completed its move into Doniphan to better serve its growing customer base. The new shop is located at the corner of Walnut and Washington streets. His staff includes a master gunsmith, Matt Taylor along with journeyman Ron Hartsock with the addition of two apprentices. Amanda Anselman serves as business manager and Janelle Mischka works the showroom greeting customers with her pretty smile!
